The Jesus Cup Song

Our daily naptime routine consists of brushing teeth, going potty, climbing into bed, reading stories, praying together and singing a song. Lately (past week or more), Tal has requested the "Jesus Cup Song" for both nap and bedtime. She closes her eyes and sings along with me. I love that she loves to sing to Jesus and that she is already learning how to worship Him with song. Not only is this one of my favorite praise songs, it is a reminder to me of the sufficiency of Christ.
You are My All in All
By: Dennis Jernigan
You are my strength when I am weak
You are the treasure that I seek
You are my all in all
Seeking You as a precious jewel
Lord, to give up I'd be a fool
You are my all in all
Taking my sin, my cross, my shame
Rising up again I bless Your name
You are my all in all
When I fall down You pick me up
When I am dry You fill my coup
You are my all in all
Jesus, Lamb of God
Worthy is Your name
Jesus, Lamb of God
Worthy, is Your name

God is so good! I love that He gives us what we need when we need it. This weekend I was able to attend the Crista Women's Ministries Conference where I went to a workshop on "Spiritual Friendships". As I was listening to the teacher, I was overwhelmed by how awesome God is! He has brought me so many friends that have inspired my faith and walk in Christ. Some of them have been for specific seasons of my life and some I am still so connected to and am learning from. The speaker talked about the character of God and how we can see that illustrated in friendships. While it seems like such a simple concept, I love the reminder. I have seen God use friends to share His grace, compassion, kindness, truth and more. This all motivates me to be a better friend to my sisters in Christ and to share God's love with others who have not yet experienced Godly friendship. To be a light to my friends who are lost and are searching. What a treasure friends are!

Snow Day

It's snowing!! It's snowing!! Mama can we go play outside?
Daddy taught me how to eat the snow, so that's the 1st thing I wanted to do.
It's cold, but yummy!
Brrrr...
I'm so excited!!!
Watchin' the kids slide down our big hill.
She looks so tiny here....
Inside, ready to snuggle, drink cocoa and watch Sesame Street.

California Dreamin.....

What Does Your Pizza Say About You?

What Your Pizza Reveals

Your appetite is pretty average. You don't go overboard - but you don't deprive yourself either.

You aren't particularly picky about pizza. It's so good... how could you be? You fit in best in the Western part of the US.

You like food that's traditional and well crafted. You aren't impressed with "gourmet" foods.

You are dependable, loyal, and conservative with your choices.

You are carefree and friendly. You should consider traveling to Hawaii.

The stereotype that best fits you is emo. You think you're special... and you kind of are.

Can't read just one...

You know how some people can't eat just one potato chip (most people). Well, that's how I feel about books. Tal and I head to the library once a week in search for new reading treasures. Each week as we drive there I think to myself that I will only check out one book, two at the most in hopes of actually finishing them before they are due. However, once we get there I get so excited about the possibility of learning something new that I end up leaving with more than I have time to read. Talia seems to be learning by example as well. So I have just come to the realization that I might be a ADD book reader....I have to read more than one at a time (sometimes 10). Here are the books that I am currently trying to read through:

Giving it another go....

I have decided to try keeping a blog again. I have been wanting to for a while, so I just am going to do it instead of thinking about it. Even if I don't have anything enlightening to say or no one even sneaks a peek at it, I should have a good time posting pictures and my thoughts. Here we go......
